Meet the Abisko Hike Lite 20
2 minute read
Excerpt New for Spring/Summer 2026, the Abisko Hike Lite 20 is Fjällräven's most versatile daypack yet. Weighing just 615 grams and carrying exactly what you need for a full day on the trail, it is built for light hiking without unnecessary bulk or weight. Minimalist design. Maximum freedom.

Some Days Ask Less of You.
There are mornings when you know the day will be a good one before you have even left. A trail in the Cameron Highlands before the heat sets in. An afternoon walk along the old cedar paths above Hakone with nowhere specific to be. A day's trek through the forested hills outside Chiang Mai, moving at whatever pace the path suggests. For days like these, the Abisko Hike Lite 20 is the right pack.
New to the Abisko family for Spring/Summer 2026, the Abisko Hike Lite 20 is a minimalist daypack designed for maximum freedom. Produced without PFAS, made entirely from 100 percent recycled polyamide, and weighing just 615 grams, it carries exactly what you need for a full day on the trail without adding anything you do not.
"The trail stays in front of you, not on your back."

Designed to Move With You
The Abisko Hike Lite 20 balances comfort, ventilation, and versatility in a compact form. Its shoulder straps are drawn from running vest design: wide, close-fitting, and shaped to keep the pack stable across all kinds of terrain. They sit closer to the body than a traditional trekking harness and distribute load more evenly, so whether you are moving quickly over uneven ground or settling into a long easy walk, the pack moves with you rather than against you.
Three chest pockets give you what you need without asking you to stop. Two are sized for 500ml soft flasks, held in place by elastic cord loops on technical ground. The third is a flat zippered pocket for a phone, a card, or a key. The pack is also hydration bladder compatible for longer days when you want options.

One Pack, Two Configurations
The detachable hip belt does real work when worn. On longer descents or technical terrain, it stabilizes the load and takes pressure off the shoulders. When the day calls for something closer to nothing, it comes off and becomes its own zippered hip pack. Leave the main pack at a shelter, take the hip belt, and keep moving.
Stripped back to its minimum configuration with the hip belt removed, the Abisko Hike Lite 20 weighs 517 grams, making it genuinely one of the lightest capable daypacks in the Fjällräven range. The pack is built to support natural movement so your attention stays on where you are going, not on what you are carrying.

Built for Asia Pacific Conditions
The main fabric is 140D recycled polyamide ripstop, PU backed for water resistance rated to 1500mm. Across Asia Pacific, where afternoon rain arrives without announcement and trails can change character quickly, that water resistance does quiet, consistent work throughout the day.
Ten pockets across a considered layout, including inner mesh pockets, expandable side pockets, and a snow lock closure on the main compartment, keep everything organized without adding structure or weight. A holder for hiking poles is built in for the sections of trail that earn the views.

The Best Days Start Light.
The Abisko Hike Lite 20 is for the explorer who wants to move freely and arrive fully. 20 litres. 615 grams. Running vest-style shoulder straps. Three chest pockets for easy access on the move. A removable hip belt that doubles as a hip pack. Lightweight, water-resistant, and made from 100 percent recycled polyamide.
